Our vision is threefold:
1. Prayer/Intercession
2. Evangelism/Missions
3. Reconciliation (Gender, Racial, National etc)
We desire to cover the earth with non-stop prayers (Psalm 2 verse 8, James 5 verse 16)

What is Women Arise?
Women Arise is a prophetic call birthed out of Isaiah 60 verse 1:

"Arise! Shine! For your light has come and the
glory of the Lord is risen upon you" |
We function as a prophetic and apostolic community, called to build prophetic and apostolic communities across the earth that would pray and prepare the way for the coming Messiah.
Women Arise is also a global prayer initiative seeking to raise prayer groups under the same vision with same heart and spirit, to do exploits for the Lord.

Our Strategy
MOBILIZE the praying army of God worldwide by creating awareness of the Urgent Need for believers to arise and pray without ceasing for change in the nations
EQUIP believers through prophetic, apostolic teaching and training at our monthly Chapter meetings, where everyone is encouraged to offer their particular worship to the Lord. Every prayer is considered important, the Holy Spirit the teacher and only expert.
EMPOWER believers to pursue their calling, destiny and purpose as they learn the art of potent and productive praying that changes nations. We achieve this through our strategic Prayer Schools, Mission Training Centre, Training manuals and Books.
RELEASE believers into their destiny, purpose and mission as Christian disciples, laborers and soldiers, maintaining contact with other members of our community, and encouraging sustained prayer lives.

How Women Arise Started
The call to prayer was sounded in the United Kingdom in October 1995 through Rev. Obii Pax-Harry.
Obii testifies to receiving the commission during a visitation on the 17th April 1993 when the Lord asked, "Would you go for Me?" Two years later, Women Arise organized its first prayer event in London, England.

Who we are
In Obii’s words, “Women Arise is not a ministry as we know it and as such I do not consider myself the leader of a prayer ministry. Women Arise is a ‘movement’ in response to a prophetic call to ‘arise, and pray’.
Obedience in answering that call has seen the birthing of a ministry of God’s people, male and female, praying together for change in the spiritual climate of nations¨.
The Isaiah 60 verse 1 call to prayer has been received across the United Kingdom, West Africa and Southern Region of Africa.

The Vision for England
Through several groups across England the vision for Britain is instilling continuous prayer cover for:
• Christian Media
• Christian Leadership
• That non shall perish (the unsaved and prodigals)
• U.K and Israel
• And other topical needs of the town or city where the vision is planted.

The Vision for the Nations
Building bridges through prayer (Psalm 2:8 – “Ask of Me and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession”)
Nigeria - To pray that righteousness would exalt the nation (righteous
government, Church leaders & righteous media).
A Chapter was planted in Owerri, Nigeria in year 2001 led by Mrs Ngozi Ejiogu.
South Africa - To pray for Revival, Healing of the land and its people.
A Chapter was planted in Mpumalanga District under Pastor & Mrs Anthony Mubi in 2003. Cells have also been birthed.
Swaziland - To pray for Revival and fulfillment of prophecy that "this nation will be the Pulpit of Africa".
Two Chapters were planted in year 2003 under Apostle & Mrs. Charles Samuwenge. At least two more are due to start shortly.
China - A Chapter was launched early in 2004
Kenya - we expect to formally launch a Chapter in 2005.
USA - we expect to formally launch a Chapter in 2005.

Fore-runner women and Godly Men: Is Women Arise just for women?
Not at all! The Lord revealed that the vision for continuous prayers would be used to build spiritual bridges across the nations. The devil has tried to introduce division of sorts and encourage a gender war in the body of Christ. Ours is a vision for reconciliation of the races, gender and denominations.
In Genesis Chapter 3 verse 1, the call on the woman to be forerunners in warfare was made clear by God. The woman and her children would be in enmity with the devil. The woman has within her makeup the supernatural ability to discern the enemy’s plans hence women are very sensitive in the spirit and very intuitive naturally.
The man is the spiritual covering for the woman and together they stand as a strong team. A woman is incomplete without her partner in war as was the case with Deborah and Barak. Our Chapter coordinators are all under spiritual covering, and submitted to local church leadership.
Women are also good negotiators. Many in the Bible successfully negotiated deliverance and salvation for their families:
• Daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 27)
• Rahab the prostitute (Joshua Chapter 2)
• Naomi (Chapter 4 verse 13, vs 22)
• Esther (Esther Chapter 4 verse 13-16)
• Mary & Martha sisters of Lazarus (John chapter 11)
• Lydia (Acts Chapter 16)
• Deborah (Judges Chapters 4 & 5)
These women were all used to change ‘status-quo’ Today...
Again, in the 21st Century, the Lord is raising women as ‘Nation-Changers’ to prepare the way for Godly men to take their place as leaders of society, to prepare the way for the soon coming Messiah as the prophetess Anna did. WAIPN, as ‘spiritual midwives’, are committed to praying in the plans of Christ, the Messiah.
